Michele Holland

Michele Holland is an emerging Alberta artist whose passion for art is a reflection of her outlook on life.  Born and raised in Alberta, Michele started her formal education in 1979. She has studied Fine Art & Design at Grant MacEwan College, the University of Alberta and the Alberta College of Art & Design.  She is recognized for her ability to see and apply colour.

Michele has a passion and talent for capturing the energy of the people, places and things she paints.  Her natural style and quick, expressive brushstrokes are the foundation of her work.  Whether she’s depicting a scene from the prairie landscape or portraying the everyday experiences of real people (especially children), she captures the moment with a unique use of color, light and texture.

Her work, including several commissions, is held in private collections in Alberta and British Columbia.

Michele lives in Calgary with her husband and three daughters.
